Marc & Nora ROUND THE WORLD 2005/2006 - Join us!

The next morning we left Bariloche and took a bus to San Martin de los Andes, a town that should be like Bariloche but a bit smaller. On the bus was a Swedish girl (Therese) that got robbed in Buenos Aires the same way we did. We decided to check into the same hostel.
We arrived on a Sunday and all the shops were shut and it generally looked dead. We decided to do a walk but there were some dodgy looking locals that kept staring at us so even Marc thought it was not worth the risk of being mugged.
Instead we walked along the lake and rented some bikes to do another scenic walk by bike.
The bikes for rent were rather bad, mine had a flat tyre pretty soon and the path was so steep that we ended up pushing most of the time. The views from the top were still beautiful though.
We decided that 1 day in San Martin at this time of the year was enough and booked a bus to Mendoza for the next day.
