Krabi - Island Tour (Incl. Phi Phi) (Marc writes)

So for the final day in Krabi we took a full day speed boat tour of the surrounding islands: Chicken Island, Bamboo Island, Phi Phi Lei & Phi Phi Don. We always enjoy the boat rides and this one was no exception however we do seem to have set a theme with our tour guides and/or drivers in that they always seem to be the fastest drivers....this guy was really going for it! The long distances in the boat were interupted by time on the pure white sands of bamboo island: The beaches here were beautiful

swimming in the crystal clear lagoon waters: we have never seen waters so blue and green

snorkelling: Nice corals and colourful fish cruising around and eating bread from your hand and biting your legs

EATING and exploring the tsunami hit island of Phi Phi don where the evidence of the destruction caused there is still very clear 10 months on....the tourism is building up again though and the locals are slowly getting back on there feet but there is still a lot of work to be done

and just enjoying the amazing limestone formations that make up this part of the world:

So this was effectively our last day in thailand as tomorrow we were heading off to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
