Marc & Nora ROUND THE WORLD 2005/2006 - Join us!
Australia - Down under: Noosa - First Visit
We drove into Noosa after Paivi & Jobo had told us it was really worth a visit...and they were right. We really enjoyed this place even though it is really a bit up-market for a backpacker budget with loads of really nice bars, restaurants and clothes shops. The beaches in Noosa are great though....nice sand and great surf. Surfing has been 'in' in Noosa since the early 60s! We spent hours in the beautiful national park overlooking the coastline watching these guys catch waves. We did catch a few waves ourselves though but with body boards which is really great fun if not 'proper' surfing. We 'free Camped' in car parks for four days before the town ranger left a polite message on the windscreen telling us that we were welcome in Noosa...but not for FREE! Needless to say we moved on. But we'll be back for a surf on the way down!
Photos will be published soon!
