Marc & Nora ROUND THE WORLD 2005/2006 - Join us!
Australia - Down under: Adelaide
We only had 1 day in Adelaide and decided to have a scenic drive up the Adelaide Hills in the morning.
There is a German Influence and a town called HAHNDORF which looks pretty much like a German village.
We also went to a famous wildlife park to see some of Southern Australian Animals close-up.
Only 1 hour's drive from Adelaide city is Barossa Valley, the famous wine region.
Adelaide itself is, compared to sydney and melbourne, a rather small town with a certain 'village' character.
It is very green and surrounded by big parks and the river. At the time we were there there was the Adelaide Arts Festival which meant it was quite busy and lots of entertainment was going on.
After only 1 day we had to say goodbye to adelaide to experience our last adventure in australia - the RED CENTRE!
