Penang is a delightful fusion of East and West as well as the old and the new. Its a sun kissed island with skyscpares , beaches and a Unesco world heritage town.

Penang is beautiful.

However do not hope for any beach splendour. The beaches are not like in Thailand or Langkawi, so we have heard. Penang however has enough beach to enjoy a few quiet hours. Dont go to Batu Ferringhi if you dont want to be disturbed by jet skies or parasailors. Tanjung Bunga is the beach to go to rather than Batu Ferringhi. The beach in Batu Ferringhi is lined with expensive hotels, swimming is however impossible due to noisy jet skies and annoying parasailors.
