John's Around the World Adventure 2005/2006
Malaysia: Cameron Highlands
We left KL on a Super VIP bus (individual, wooden lines seats, WOW!) heading for the dizzy heights of the Cameron Highlands, over 3,500 feet above sea level. Positioned on a hill station, the temperature was particularly cool here, reaching a maximum of 20 degrees. Whilst in the highlands we had time for a jungle trek (included drinking bamboo water) viewing the worlds largest flower, a nice waterfall, an aboriginal camp, a pineapple growing region, and a tea/ coffee plantation. The hostel here was also very friendly and the venue for some serious beer drinking whilst watching Man Utd v Spurs.
