John's Around the World Adventure 2005/2006
Singapore
Singapore was simply another world in comparison to South East Asian counterparts and especially when comparing it to our Bali visit. Amazingly modern, striking colonial architecture, excellent technology (i.e Mass Rapid Transport with card ticket sensors) Singapore all in all is amazingly functional. Its wide assortment of facilities along Orchard Road, and the nightlife and dining district of Clarke Quay made Singapore attractive and uniquely special.

Colonial District
Chinatown and Little India were two districts we often frequented, mainly due their offerings of fine food. Other food choices included the wonderful Hawker stalls and street vendors selling Tiger beer and fried rice dishes. Coupled with this, Singapore's very own theme park Island, Sentosa had a great deal of diversity of things both to see and do, with beaches, jungle trails and nightly firework shows just a snippet
