THAILAND (again)
Coming back to Bangkok was remarkably comforting and familiar. And the people are so nice in Thailand. We were both rather overjoyed to be back. Honest people, great food, 7-11s.
On the road back to Bangkok.
So, we spent a few days soaking up the familiar. We also found a self-storage place where we dropped off about 50 pounds worth of stuff. I cannot describe my joy.
Jan. 5th we went and saw Bangkok's Chinatown (well, one of them). It was mostly a huge market - electronics, pornography, weapons, hardware. Just as you'd imagine it, I swear. Some guy was selling pornographic DVDs out of a garbage bag with another guy on lookout. Sooo sleazy.
Chinatown.
Flashy electronics!
Now, we're going south. Jan. 7th, we left for Hua Hin on the train. It was a bit of a disastrous day, but we did manage to get there by 9:30 or so. It's a bit of a resort town here, with a nice beach, except that it's crowded with pot-bellied rich people. For some reason, I've taken almost no pictures.
Today, the 10th, we're on our way to Pra-Chuap. Apparently it's nothing like this place, so maybe it'll be good. Thus concludes my getting this thing up to date.
Thank you for your time.
