My first attempt to climb the Zugspitze

As the road from Ehrwald to Garmisch-Patenkirchen was still closed we had to drive via Fuessen.

On our way we stopped to see the fall of the river Lech:

At Hoch Peissenberg is a nice church with a chappel for palmers.

Arriving in Munich we were stunned to see the flood waters of the river Isar!
I had a walk around taking pictures...

In the late afternoon I met up with my uncle again and we reached Frankfurt only 3.5 hours later
