villa venus - there are no boarders, if you open your eyes.
patagonia
Tales from x-mas, ice and lucky fishers.
x-mas spot for villa venus and team - puerto san julian
x-mas diner - gambas, angus beef, champagne and wine!
Yes x-mas was definitely different this year, we spent the holy day together with commersons dolphins and Magellan pinguins in Puerto san Julian - but really, we missed nothing, it was just a glory moment and we had even out little x-mas tree (a heavy investment) and some little prezys, but the biggest prezy for us is this wonderful trip.

bienvendios en el chalten
We arrived just in time in el chalten (the Zermatt of Argentina) to meet Andres and his future wife, what a chance we could join them to do the vuelto del hielo, a 5 day trip over the everlasting ice (the largest icemassiv next to the poles) - just an amazing experience, sleeping on the glacier, jumping over crevasse's and see nothing just ice and mountains...it feels like on another planet - an unforgettable experience.
vuelta del hielo - up to paso marconi
icy bivac
just wonderful landscapes
But to be honest, it's also a morning glory situation to have to go pipi at midnight by minus 10 degres out of the tent...but once out, the clear sky, the stars and the light form the glacier took away all freezing feelings.
We enjoyed during our trip also the new years eve, opposite a glacier and far away from civilsation and alcohol..., but again we missed anything it was just a great experience and something to remember the rest of our lives.
circo de los altares (cerro torre and fitz roy from the big glaciers)

By the way, fishing seems not to be a part of our favourite talents, we tried our look by lago desierto and the final situation showed a horrible view, we lost 4...... as well a the new bougth ultra ....... from Andres, the only fish we catched had the size of enormous 6 cm, and we decided to throw this moby dick back to his deep blue lake...we did not know at this moment, that it would be the only fish we see during our fishing expedition...anyway we had a great vegetarian dinner at the end.
fishing without fish...
Back in town we decided to hike the famous parque hike to cerro torre and cerro Fitzroy, a wonderful route, but like always in Patagonia the wind has always a important word on all plans...there are different winds in Patagonia, from left, right, above, form the valley from the mountain, from the lake, from the river and normally all together and what is stabil...it's always a strong wind...
parque lago del desierto
cerro torre from laguna del tore
We wish everybody a very happy new year, suerte, amor y dinero and overall salut - and something more...try to realize your dream...it's worth!
