This was my first trip outside of North America, a four week, flexible itineary, with planned visits to a few on-line acquaintances as anchor points.

This journey in our pick up truck camper took us West from Ontario to British Columbia and Alaska, then South to Nicaragua. Later we trailered a sailboat and cruised the coast of BC, Alaska and Sea of Cortez in Mexico.

After the summer stay in Vancouver, my trip goes to Alaska and then countinues to Mexico.

The cross country road trip that has failed to materialize for 3 years but finally, fulfilled in the year of 2007. Two (crazy) girls set out one early Tuesday morning and in their journey's wake, meet transvestites, cute boys, get bitten by mosquitoes, get pierced with rusty nails and squirted in the eye with 'porn sausage', hang with bums and riffraffs at Union Station....

I was lucky to get a cheap flight to Alaska where I want to meet up with my boyfriend Ian. He is working at a remote lodge on Kodiak. After the season ends we want to go on a wilderness hike.

I drove from LA to San Francisco- camped en route in the Big Sur area. For me this solo trip was a first, and being on the road all alone without any agenda was incredibly peaceful.
