Thailand

Hello - 5 more days!!!

On the 12th of September we are setting off!
Our plan is to travel round the world for a period of 10 months.

1st stop: Thailand (1 month) and cambodia

2nd stop: Via Singapore (overland) to Australia where we plan to stay for approximately 4-5 months.

3rd stop: New Zealand (2 months)
(north and south island)

4th stop: South America (approx. 3 months)
(Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Peru, Ecuador and if time and money allows we might visit costa rica)

Following masses of preperation my trip of a lifetime was finally a reality. Beginning in the adventurous New Zealand, before taking in delights of Australia over Christmas. Bali was next on the agenda, trading in the comfort of the West for drastic cultural differences of East Asia. The modern city of Singapore next acted as a stepping stone for travel over-land through Malaysia and island-hopping around Thailand. My Adventure finally ended amongst the neon scyscrapers of Hong Kong.

Leaving for bangkok on Sept. 12. Where we go from there is anyone's guess. Hoping to see Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos. Be back in six months or so if everything goes well. There really isn't much of a route planned - we'll see what happens.

Ghana, Rio, Caribbean, USA, New Zealand, South Sea, Philipines, Thailand and more.
Will try to write my experineces and make you jealous. So check this out once in a while! ;-)

It was time to introduce my daughter to the wonders of travel. As I had been to Thailand in 2002, I felt comfortable taking my 13yr old daughter there. Hopefully she will catch the travel bug early and travel the world in the years to come.

Ang and I are off to Thailand for 2 weeks hard earned R & R.

Our first trip to Asia. Plan is to take every day as it comes, travelling on local buses and stopping when the whim takes us.

Winter 2002 - we didn't have a good start:
after a little accident with a drunken dancer one day before our departure my finger has to get sewed with five stitches. The stitches I gonna have to take out by myself.
And although it is clear to us that the risk of malaria is existent in Thailand, ...
... it wasn't maybe clear enough.
