A reunion on Kodiak (English version)
Alaska: off we go!

OK, all packed!
If it's not too windy we'll be dropped off by boat at the Spiridon river mouth. Then we'll hike upstream to the mountains and down on the other side to Old Harbour.
It's only about 40 miles and we have 12 days so it won't be too exhausting. The packs aren't too heavy either (50 lb and 60 lb) and we have plenty of food.

09/19
It was too windy today to go out with the boat. But it would have been a nice day for hiking as it didn't rain.
The weatherforecast for tomorrow actually looks pretty good so I think we might finally leave the lodge. If we don't make it we will be stuck here for several more days and then we might run out of time.
We decided to take a scheduled flight with Island Air on 10/01 from Old Harbour to Kodiak. We then leave Kodiak in the evening of the 4th.
